Another pretty quiet week. To be honest with myself been a tough week regarding my mental health. I haven’t been able to muster up the energy and have just been feeling a bit off all week, you know? I’m starting to feel a bit better and take each day one at a time.
I had what I refer to as a ‘Yass Queen’ shower which involves: a hair mask, face mask, shaving and a whole tub of moisturiser. It always makes me feel a little bit better. My skin has been dehydrated and flakey the last couple of weeks. This always happens around this time of the year. I get eczema all year round, but it flares up mainly in Winter. I have a patch right on the front of my hairline, and I’m very self-conscious about it. I’ve been using my Philip Kinglsey hair mask and its toner, which seems to be helping.

TV-wise, there hasn’t been a lot watched in the last week. We finished the US version of The Traitors, which wasn’t as good. Firstly Alan Cummings role was bizarre, and what was with the groundskeeper Fergus? I think having the mix of celebs and normals was a wrong choice. It just didn’t work. I have been playing a lot of Dreamlight Valley this week. Addicted to this game and can’t wait for more updates/expansions.
The weekend, which was supposed to be pretty chilled, ended up being a lot of walking. Still, every week I feel like I’m seeing progress in my fitness and strength in my knee. It’s just so cold I’m struggling to find the motivation to go out. Then when I go out I panic that I’m going to slip on the ice and hurt my knee again.
I had a few online orders to take back and like to get into town early if it’s the weekend so we dropped the returns off and then treated ourselves to a delicious breakfast from Cotes Brasserie. We then walked to Ahh Toots, and I got the most incredible slice of Cookie Cake. It’s so pretty in there and the cake was 10/10. We popped into Rough Trades and got a new vinyl for the collection. We are trying only to buy vinyl that we will both enjoy, and we settled on Oasis (What’s the Story) Morning Glory.
Sunday was spent playing with my new sewing machine; so much to learn about it. I want to get good enough to sew my own clothes eventually, but I think it might take a bit to get there. My new hair wavers also arrived, and I love the effect they give my hair. They even held the waves for a second day.
