The week started with a quick visit to Weston-super-Mare to see the launch of SEE MONSTER and their fantastic drone show in collaboration with SkyMagic. We got the train there at a bargain price of £10 return for both of us (with our two-together railcard), and then it’s a quick 7-minute walk to the seafront where we secured our spot. The show was fantastic, and we had a great night out. The night ended with a lovely walk home spotting all the local wildlife like foxes and bats. Let’s not talk about the rat we found in our garden this week…

One of the weekly targets I have had is to move more. My knee injury is almost healed, but my fitness levels have dropped off a cliff. Most days I have managed at least 2 walks, and I have been trying to incorporate hills. Some days it’s hard to get up and go but a week later and I feel the difference. For example, there’s a hill I have to get up to drop off my sold Vinted parcels, and after many attempts I managed it without stopping once!
Oh yeah, that’s one of the other things I guess from the last week. I’ve been storing stuff to sell for years, and there’s always been something in the way of actually doing it, so the last month, I’ve been working through it. I’m not selling at a lot, but reckon ill hit about £200 in total, which for stuff that’s just been taking up room in my loft for years is pretty good. Anything I don’t sell will make it to the charity shop.
Friday night was comedy night at Bath Forum. I met up with some friends to see Joe Lycett, and the show was fantastic with an amazing twist which I obviously won’t ruin. The only issue I have is the venue. It’s the same every time we visit. It’s awful. They had the music at a disgustingly high volume to the point I had to write texts to the person sitting next to me as that was the only way I could actually hear them talk.

At the weekend we popped into town to have a mooch. I bought some LEGO and a new hoody from Primark for my upcoming Centre Parcs trip at the end of the month. Then spent the rest of the time going through and sorting/clearing out our loft which is long overdue. And the final thing we did last week? Booked a cheeky little trip to DLP for Halloween!!!!!!
Know what’s crazy? sometimes I think oh, I haven’t really done much recently but writing up these weekly little diary updates makes me realise that’s not the case at all. I had two fantastic nights out, I saw friends, and I achieved my exercise goal. I can’t wait to see what next week holds for me.
