My week started with the arrival of my brand-new Apple Watch…which didn’t work. Well, the watch worked, but it wouldn’t link with my phone, so after an hour-long talking online to someone who could not fix it, we ended up at the Genius Bar, where it almost stumped the employees there. I had an issue with the health app/data, and every time my watch got to this point for setting up, it crashed. We managed to get around this by removing my apple ID from the phone and pairing the watch, then overriding it by adding my Apple ID details. As part of this process, I had to reset my phone and spent my week getting frustrated at having to redownload all my apps again. Just when I think I have them all, something comes up that I haven’t got. I’ll get there eventually.
This week I also met my friend and her newborn son, who is only 6 weeks old and absolutely adorable. We got some breakfast in Costa and had a little mooch around the shops. So nice to meet the little fella and, of course, see friends.
It was an early start midweek with a 9 am eye exam check-up. My last one that’s needed since my surgery, and I’m pleased to see all is good and I have officially been discharged from care. Wish I had done this surgery years ago but so happy now. It’s small things I notice like how when at the Aqua Sana Spa, I was able to go in the sauna and steam rooms with no problem. Next up to try is rollercoasters in a few weeks’ time and I can’t wait!
I managed to finish two of my Halloween-themed cross stitches this week, and I am determined to finish some more of my Christmas ones this next week. Watch this space. Along with the Halloween theme we watched the latest Marvel Studios Special Presentation: Werewolf by Night. It’s very different from the usual Marvel stuff, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see more stand-alone shows like this where they experiment more.
The week was finished off with a trip down to Windmill Hill City Farm. It was such a beautiful, warm and sunny Autumnal day we had to get out and when I heard the farm had week-old piglets, I knew I HAD to visit. I love having this so close to us and really enjoy seeing all the animals. The goats at the farm always love a good butt scratch but remember to wash your hands thoroughly if you do this.
