A fairly quiet week, just ticking off a few jobs for the year. April has felt like an unusual month with all the Bank Holidays, it feels difficult to get going and settle into any routine. This was Easter week so even more of a mess with days. Always a silver lining with all the chocolate though. My parents kindly gifted us some delicious Easter treats and we also bought each other a chocolate egg. Let’s just say, the waistbands on my trousers were a little tighter that week!
We also met with our financial advisor for an update and a chat about pensions and stuff. Things like this always feel so grown up, like this is what parents did. Then I remember I’m only a few years off forty and am indeed a grown-up.
My husband had his first fitting for his Invisalign this week, it’s a long process but I’m so excited for him to start this journey. It’s taken a few days but he’s definitely got the hang of it and doesn’t seem to be in too much pain.
This week brought something extra rare, sunshine. What a beautiful few days we had. It timed perfectly with our new B&Q delivery of a new bistro set and a little visit to get some new flowers for the garden. They are starting to bloom and look lovely.
We wrapped up the weekend with a trip to the local City farm to see the goats and their babies and have a little wander.
A special shoutout this week goes to the film we watched, Bullet Train. So good. A really fun, action-packed film with some great little cameos.
